The radio station dewelt has been given the title of the nation’s best station by a national audience survey, according to a survey of radio listeners conducted by News.au.
A new report by radio listeners’ magazine Radio New Zealand revealed that dewlap is the best-performing station in the country.
Radio New Zealand said listeners of the station listened to 1,069 radio programs during the past 12 months.
It was followed by WSPR (1,074), AMP (1.062), ABC (1) and AMQP (9).
Radio Newzealand’s data found that the number of programs played by listeners on the radio dropped from 9,816 last year to 8,932 this year.
It also found that listeners were not listening to more music than they did last year.
However, listeners were still listening to a lot of popular music, with many listening to 60% of their program.
The average program was listened to for about 10 minutes.
There were also signs that listeners had begun to realise that their station was the best.
In fact, it is the only station in New Zealand to be named Best of the Country by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
The report found that people’s views on radio were strongly linked to their favourite radio station, with 83% of respondents saying they preferred listening to the radio station to their TV and radio.
Radio Newzalta was named as the nation ‘s best station in terms of quality of programming.
